   Leilani – There are so many things about life that you can’t possibly understand until you grow some turnips of your own. The sort of love Jessica and I have for our turnip is so deep, so profound. I had no idea I could feel such a depth of human emotions until I pulled it out of the soil for the first (and only) time and held it in my arms and gazed down at it. One day you’ll know the sort of love that can only come from root crop parenthood.
